1. If you are splitting a lot that has an existing home on it already you will need to complete items a., b., c. and d. below.
a. Complete the Existing Onsite Wastewater Application for existing the home.
b. Complete the Site Assessment Request for the proposed lot.
c. If additional lots are being created you can have one leftover lot as agriculture, future development or as a non-proposed building lot. Lots will need to be labeled on the surveyed plat as such.
d. Proof of drinking water source for proposed lots. (A well permit or letter from a public water system stating that they will supply water to the building lot).
2. If you are splitting a lot and intend to build on one lot you will need to complete items a., b. and c. below. a. Complete the Site Assessment Request for the proposed building lot.
b. If additional lots are being created you can have one leftover lot as agriculture, future development or as a non-proposed building lot. Lots will need to be labeled on the survey plat as such.
c. Proof of drinking water for building lot. (A well permit or letter from a public water system stating that they will supply water to the lot).
The following documentation must be turned in with this request.
1. Copy of the tax id form from the County Recorder’s office.
2. A plat from the County Recorder’s office.
3. A survey plat of proposed split.
4. Map and directions to site.
5. Property boundaries must be visibly marked at the time of inspection.
TriCounty Health Department feasibility report is not a lot split approval. Approval must be obtained from the appropriate county officials.
